Rickards was cast, in March 2014, to play Kristen Rose - the sister to Dakota (Haley Ramm), the protagonist of Cowgirls 'n Angels. The film premiered at the 2014 Dallas International Film Festival. In 2015, she appeared as a support role in Brooklyn, an Oscar Nominated Film Brooklyn. Her role was played by her for the film Slumber (2016) together which she co-starred with Darby Stanchfield & Meaghan Rath. Los Angeles was the location to film the movie in May of this year. The actress also appeared in Axis. The film won with the award for Outstanding Achievement in a Feature film at the 2017 Newport Beach Film Festival. Also, she was a part in the superhero-themed short film Sidekick, directed by Arrowverse alum Jeff Cassidy. She also appeared on the screen in Funny Story, a comedy made in the year the year 2017. The film was named second in the Slamdance Film Festival's Beyond program in January 2018.[21] The film won the Stolman award for the best American independent film at the 2018 Sonoma International Film Festival; [23] the Audience Award to the film with the highest narrative quality at the Vero Beach Wine and Film Festival,[24most outstanding feature at the Santorini Film Festival;[25] and the grand jury prize in the Barcelona Film Festival. Rickards received a nomination for Best Actress in Feature at the Southampton International Film Festival. She appeared with James Maslow in We Need to Talk [27] in May 2019. The film was written by and directed by Todd Wolfe. The film was selected as an official selection for the FirstGlance Film Festival in Philadelphia and in the month of November, 2020 and Rickards was awarded the title of best actress in a feature Emily Emily Emily Emily Emily Emily Emily Emily
